Therefore, drink about 1.5 to 2 liters of water and unsweetened herbal and fruit teas every day. TENA^® Pants Maxi are suitable for women and men and are available in two sizes: m for a hip size of 80 to 110 cm, size L corresponds to a hip width of 100 to 135 cm.

Are TENA^® Pants suitable for at night?
Yes, the protective zones of the TENA^® Pants were specifically developed in such a way that they can offer safe protection against leaking even when lying down and can absorb larger amounts of urine themselves. This means that the disposable pants are particularly suitable for strong nightly urge to urinate and for bedridden people.

How are the diaper pants best disposed of?
TENA^® Pants can dispose of in the waste or if available in a device for the disposal of hygiene products as usual on most public toilets. To protect the environment, one-way pants used should not be disposed of in the toilet.

Are there any different types of incontinence?
The different types of incontinence differ mainly with regard to their nature, intensity and cause. It is differentiated between four main types.

Strain or stress incontinence
This type of incontinence describes the uncontrolled loss of urine in the event of physical stress such as cough, sneezing or laugh. This happens due to a weakened function of the pelvic floor muscles and increasing pressure in the abdomen.

Urge incontinence
In this form, the loss of urine usually occurs very suddenly and is due to an overactivity of the bladder. Even with a small amount of urine, a strong urge to urinate is already felt in which the muscles contract and out of an uncontrolled urine.

Overflow incontinence
In the case of overflow incontinence, the unwanted loss of urine is caused due to a constantly overcrowded bladder. The bladder pressure exceeds the urethral closure pressure. This often happens due to drain disabilities in the bladder.

Reflex incontinence
This incontinence is associated with a disturbance of the nervous system, in which the interaction between the sphincter mechanism, central control and urine bladder is disturbed. Those affected do not feel urge to urinate due to their nerve damage, i.e. their bladder empties unnoticed and often incomplete.
