1. What is Remifemin Plus and what is it applied for?

Remifemin Plus is a herbal medicine for the treatment of complaints in menopause. Remifemin Plus is used in complaints in the climacteric such as hot flashes, sweats, depressed mood states and psychovestistical disturbances such as depression, internal tension, irritability, concentration weakness, insomnia, anxiety and / or nervous restlessness, premenstrual psychova-agitative complaints.

2. What do you need to consider before taking Remifemin Plus?

Remifemin Plus must not be taken:
  • if they are treated at the same time with another medicinal product, which is one of the following drugs or A drug from one of the following material groups includes:
    • Medicines for suppressing repulsion reactions to grafts:
      • Ciclosporin
      • Tacrolimus for internal use
      • Sirolimus
    • Medicines for the treatment of HIV infections or AIDS:
      • Proteinase inhibitors like Indinavir
      • Non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors like Nevirapin
    • Cytostatics like
      • Imatinib
      • Irinotecan with the exception of monoclonal antibodies.
  • If you are hypersensitive to Cimicifugaburstelstock or St. John's herb or any of the other ingredients of Remifemin Plus.
  • if you know that there is a light hypersensitivity of the skin.


Special care when taking Remifemin Plus is required:
  • Drugs containing how Remifemin plus components from St. John's Wort (Hypericum) can interact with other drugs: active ingredients from hypericum can accelerate the excretion of other drugs and thus reduce the effectiveness of these other substances. If a simultaneous application of Remifemin Plus is held with other medicines necessary, your doctor must concern the possible interactions: impairment of digoxin, verapamil, simvastatin, midazolam, medicines for inhibiting blood clotting (phenprocoumon, warfarin).
  • For women, the hormonal contraceptives (Contraception agent) use, it may be possible for interim bleeding as a result of an interaction. These patients should be advised with regard to additional contraceptive measures because the security of these funds may be reduced.

When taking Remifemin Plus with other medicines:
  • Remifemin Plus can interact with numerous other medicines in the sense that the concentration of these substances is lowered in the blood and may be weakened by their effectiveness. These fabrics include the following drugs: medicines for inhibiting blood clotting (Phenprocoumon, Warfarin), Digoxin, Verapamil, Simvastatin, Midazolam, Hormonal Contracematin, "Pill" (Occurrence of interim bleeding)

To apply Remifemin Plus in pregnancy and in lactation, there are no sufficient data. Remifemin Plus is therefore not to be taken during pregnancy and lactation.

Driveion and use of machines:
There are no special precautions required.

Important information about certain other ingredients of Remifemin Plus:
This medicine contains lactose. Please take Remifemin Plus only after consulting with your doctor if you are known to suffer from any intolerance to certain sugars.

3. How to take Remifemin Plus?

Always take Remifemin Plus exactly as directed in this leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is: 2 times a day 1 Film tablet, if necessary 2 film tablets 2 times a day. The film-coated tablets are included in the morning and in the evening with liquid with liquid. You can take the film-coated tablets regardless of meals.
