Rubiemen 50 mg tablets
Active substance: Dimenhydrinate

Dear patient, dear patient!
Please read the entire leaflet carefully because it contains important information for you. This medicine is available without prescription. In order to achieve the best possible treatment success, however, Rubiemen 50 mg tablets must be applied correctly.

1.What are Rubiemen 50 mg tablets and what are they used for?

Dimenhydrinate is a remedy against nausea and vomiting from the group of HP antihistamines. Rubiemen 50 mg tablets are used for the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting of different origin, especially in travel sickness.

Note:
Dimenhydrinate is the sole treatment of nausea and vomiting in the wake of a medicine cancer treatment (Cytostatic therapy) Not suitable.

2.What do you need to consider 50 mg tablets before taking rubiemen?

Rubiemen 50 mg tablets may not be taken, at:
  • Award sensitivity to Dimenhydrinate, other antihistamines or any other component of the medicine,
  • acute asthma attack,
  • green star (narrow angle glaucoma),
  • Adrenal tumor (pheochromocytom),
  • Disruption of the production of blood dye (porphyria),

  • Spasmaps (epilepsy, eclampsia).


Take special care with Rubiemen 50 mg tablets:
The following describes when you can only take 50 mg tablets only under certain conditions and only with special caution. Please contact your doctor. This also applies if these information met with you earlier once.

Rubiemen 50 mg tablets may only be applied after consultation with the doctor:
  • Impaired liver function,
  • Heart rhythmism (e.g., Heart hunting),
  • Potassium or magnesium deficiency,
  • slowed overcopping (bradycardia),
  • certain heart diseases (innate QT syndrome or other clinically significant heart damage, in particular circulatory disorders of the coronary vessels, excitation line disorders, arrhythmias), attributable application of medicaments, which also extend as so-called Qt interval in ECG or lead to hypocalemia (see "when taking Rubiemen 50 mg tablets with other medicines"),
  • chronic breathing difficulties and asthma,
  • Constriction at the exit of the stomach (pylorus styles).


When taking Rubiemen 50 mg tablets with other medicines:
Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you take / use other medicines or recently taken / applied, even if it is non-prescription medicines. With simultaneous use of rubiemen 50 mg tablets with other centrally attenuating medicines (medicines that influence the psyche, sleep, calming, pain and anesthesia) it can lead to a mutual strengthening of the effects. The "anticholinergic" effect of rubiemen 50 mg tablets (see under "Which side effects are possible") can be done by simultaneous administration of other substances with "Anticholine-gene effects (e.g., Atropine, berids or certain means against depression tricyclic antidepressants) are reinforced in a unpredictable manner.

With simultaneous administration of rubiemen 50 mg tablets with so-called monoamine oxidase inhibitors (medicines that are also used for the treatment of depression) may be u.u. develop a life-consuming intestinal paralysis, urinary behavior or an increase in intraocular pressure. 3.How are Rubiemen to take 50 mg tablets?

Always take Rubiemen 50 mg tablets exactly as directed in this leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. 4.What side effects are possible?
