Field of use

• The preparation has an anti -allergic and anti -inflammatory effect.
• The preparation is used at:
  • Food allergies that cannot be treated by waiving the food to be resolved.
• Notice:
  • The preparation is not suitable for the treatment of acute asthma attack or other complaints that occur acutely by food allergy.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken,
  • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against sodium cromoglicat or one of the other components of the preparation.

dosage

• Always apply the preparation exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
  • Adults and adolescents from the age of 15 take the content of a bag of the preparation four times a day (corresponding to a total of 800 mg sodium cromoglicat).
  • Daring forms with a lower active ingredient content are available for children.
  • If necessary, the dose in adults can be increased to 2 - 3 bags of the preparation four times a day. However, a daily dose of 10 bags (corresponding to 2 g sodium cromoglicat) should not be exceeded.
  • Note: This medicine contains 1.76 g sucrose in 1 bag. If the dosage instructions are observed, up to 1.76 g (0.14 be) are fed with every application.
  • If the desired effect has adjusted, the dose can gradually be reduced to the extent necessary to maintain the freedom of symptoms.

• The duration of the usage will be decided by the medicating doctor.
• Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the preparation is too strong or too weak.

• If you have taken a larger amount of the drug than you should:
  • Semal symptoms have not yet been known for sodium cromoglicat.

• If you forgot to take the preparation:
  • Should you use the preparationhave forgotten, no special measures are required. Continue the therapy as normal. It makes no sense to take twice the amount in the next application.
  • However, note that the optimal effect is only achieved with regular use.

• If you stop taking the preparation
  • If you interrupt the treatment or end prematurely, you have to expect the typical signs of your illness soon.

• If you have any further questions about the application of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Taking

• Take 15-30 minutes before meals. Put the bag content in a glass of water, stir briefly and drink the solution. Before swallowing, a repeated rinsing is recommended in the mouth, since a local effect on the oral mucosa can already be achieved in this way.
• The preparation should be used at the same time as possible, i.e. H. In the morning, at noon, in the afternoon and evening.

Patient information

• Special caution when taking the preparation is required in the following cases:
  • If you have already had a life -threatening allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock) in the past, you should definitely avoid eating the food in question during treatment with the preparation.
• Children
  • The use of the preparation in infants in the first two months of life (correspondingly longer in premature babies) cannot be recommended.
  • The preparation is not suitable for the initial treatment of children. Other doses (100 mg) are available for this.

• Wateriness and operating machines
  • There are no special precautions required.

Pregnancy

• Pregnancy
  • There are no indications of a fruit -damaging effect of the preparation both from animal studies and from previous experiences in humans. Nevertheless, you should only use the preparation from basic considerations during pregnancy if the doctor considers it necessary.
• Breastfeeding
  • The active ingredient of the preparation merges into breast milk in small quantities.
  • Therefore, you should only apply the preparation during breastfeeding if the doctor considers it necessary.

Miscellaneous

- The medicine is not suitable for the treatment of acute breathnot attack.
- People who have already had an anaphylactic shock in the past, as a precaution, should do without the consumption of the relevant foods while taking the drug.
