Field of use

Oral pedon 240 apple banana (pack size: 10 pcs) - For oral electrolyte and liquid intake (compensation of salt and water loss) in diarrhea.

Diarrhea is a digestive disorder in which the stool volume increases due to liquid. The number of intestinal recovery is also increasing. Due to the resulting loss of water and minerals, you feel strongly weakened.

Diarrhea can e.g. B. can be caused by food intolerance. Infectious diarrhea, which is caused by viruses or bacteria, are much more common, e.g. B. when traveling. In addition, diarrhea can also be psychological and occur in the event of stress, fear or excitement (exams).

Diarrhea is the most common cause of derailing the water and mineral balance. This often has serious consequences, especially in children, because they have three to four higher fluid sales than adults and correspondingly higher mineral and liquid losses in the event of diarrhea. For this reason, any loss of fluid must be compensated for directly and correctly.

It is important that the drinking solution for fluid compensation contains a balanced electrolyte concentration that is tailored to the child's needs. Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken
  • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against one of the components
  • if you suffer from acute and chronic restriction of kidney function (acute and chronic renal failure)
  • in the case of insatural vomiting
  • in the case of excess consciousness or shock in the case of severe lack of fluids
  • if you suffer from a fault of the acid-base balance with the custody of the blood (metabolic alkalosis)
  • in the event of disruptions in carbohydrate intake (sugar intake) from the intestine (monosaccharide malabsorption).
• Treatment is not indicated if the intake of the fluid taken from the gastrointestinal tract in the blood is not or only partially possible (e.g. with acute intestinal closure).

dosage

Application recommendation of Oralpädon 240 apple banana (pack size: 10 pc):

Infants and toddlers: 3-5 bags in 24 hours, according to the one to one to one and a half times the daily drinking amount.
Children: 1 bag after each bowel movement.
Adults: 1-2 bags after each bowel movement.

Recommended consumption: 1 bag oralpädon® is dissolved and drunk in 200 ml of drinking water. If there is no drinking water, freshly cooked and cooled water can also be used.

The amount of fluid, in which 1 bag oralpädon® is to be dissolved, must be observed exactly, otherwise the optimal composition of salts, sugar and liquid is not achieved and disorders of the salt balance in the body could be caused. The solution should only be manufactured immediately before taking it. Non -consumed solution after 1 hour at room temperature use more. When storing in the fridge, it can be kept for a maximum of 24 hours. Don't cook the ready -made solution! If nausea or vomiting at the same time, oralpädon® should be drunk in small swallows until the required dose has been reached.

Duration of the application:
Children and adults occupy oralpädon® until they subsided, but at most 36 hours. If the diarrhea lasts longer, the doctor must be consulted again.
The treating doctor determines the duration of the use of oralpädon® in infants and toddlers. It is usually 6-12 hours and should not exceed 24 hours.

Taking

• 1 Bag is dissolved and drunk in 200 ml of drinking water. If there is no drinking water, freshly cooked and cooled water can also be used.
• The amount of fluid, in which 1 bag is to be dissolved, must be observed exactly, otherwise the optimal composition of salts, sugar and liquid is not achieved and disorders of the salt balance in the body could be caused. The solution should only be manufactured immediately before taking it. No longer used after 1 hour at room temperature.
• When storing in the fridge, it can be kept for a maximum of 24 hours.
• Don't cook the ready -made solution!
• If nausea or vomiting at the same time, the medicine should be drunk in small swallows until the required dose has been reached.
• In the event of diarrhea, all foods should be discontinued before the start of treatment with the medicine. This also applies to milk with the exception of breast milk.
• Breast milk fed in parallel to the gift of the drug from the beginning of treatment. The required amount of the medicine is administered before a breastfeeding meal. If an infant does not drink the portion offered at once, the drinking solution should be fed in spoons or in small portions until the recommended amount is reached.
• Initially non -breastfed infants only get the solution with the medicine (food break for approx. 6 hours, also foregoing bottle milk). After that, diluted food is given. After the complaints subsided (generally after 24 to 48 hours), it can usually be gradually passed back to normal food.
• After the end of the treatment, children get their usual solid food again. In individual cases, however, this can also happen earlier.

Patient information

• It must be paid to a sufficient supply of liquid next to the therapy!
• Since each diarrhea can be a sign of a serious illness, a doctor must be visited immediately if the general condition is prolonged and/or impaired.
• In patients with heart failure (heart failure) and increased blood pressure, the doctor must be questioned before the start of treatment because of the liquid and sodium quantities supplied by the medicine.
• Due to the high glucose content, the drug from diabetics should only be used after consultation with the treating doctor.
• Infants and toddlers
