Field of use

Olynth Plus 0.05 % / 5 % nasal spray for children from 2 to 6 years (pack size: 10 ml) For children with the triple effect: frees the nose, promotes wound healing and protects the nasal mucosa.

Cold once a month? Quite normal for small children.
Colds undoubtedly come first among childhood diseases. Because in kindergarten and school there are not only many children, but also numerous viruses that can hike from one child to another in the play group, the classroom or on the school playground. Since there are many different viruses, the child's immune system must first learn to form the many pathogens. So it is not unusual for a child to tie and cold 8-12 times a year by primary school age.

Even if such a cold is usually harmless, it affects the well -being of our little ones. Especially at the bedtime, a blocked nose becomes a burden, which the children and as a result the parents do not let their parents come to rest.

Mode of action

Olynth Plus 0.05 % / 5 % nasal spray for children from 2 to 6 years (pack size: 10 ml) For children with triple effect, the clogged nose frees the clogged nose, promotes wound healing and protects the nasal mucosa.

It contains the combination of the active ingredients xylometazoline and dexpanthenol and is free of preservatives.

Xylometazoline is responsible for the decongestant effect. It leads to a rapid narrowing of the blood vessels in the nasal mucosa, so that it will be overwhelmed. The nasal secretion can flow out again and take a deep breath. Dexpanthenol is a descendant of vitamin pantothenic acid (vitamin B5). It promotes wound healing and protects the irritated nasal mucosa.

Active substances of Olynth Plus 0.05 % / 5 % nasal spray for children from 2 to 6 years (pack size: 10 ml) are:

Xylometazolin hydrochloride dexpanthenol

1 spray to 0.1 ml nasal spray contains 0.05 mg xylometazolin hydrochloride and 5.0 mg dexpanthenol.

Other components:
Calium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium monohydrogen phosphate-dodecahydrate and cleaned water

Contradictions

In the case of known hypersensitivity to one of the above -mentioned ingredients, this product should not be used.

dosage

Dosier recommendation of Olynth Plus 0.05 % / 5 % nasal spray for children from 2 to 6 years (pack size: 10 ml):

The recommended dose in children from 2-6 years is up to 3 times a day a spray per nose opening. Olynth® Plus should not be used for more than 7 days. If your child doesn't feel better or even worse after 3 days, you should contact a doctor.

Application instructions:
First pull off the protective cap. Pump 5 times before the first application until an even spray is created.
If the spray has not been used for a long time, you should be pumped twice before use.

Insert the spray head into a nose opening as vertically as possible and pump it once.
Breathe in the nose slightly during the spray process. Repeat the process for the other nose opening if necessary.

Wipe the spray head with a paper towel after each use and put the protective cap back on.

Taking

• This medicine is intended for use in the nose. After removing the protective cap, insert the spray opening into the nose opening and press the pump once. Breathe quietly through the nose during the spray process. After use, carefully wipe the spray head with a clean paper towel and put it on again.
• Hints:
  • Before the first application and after a more than 7-day treatment break, press the pump several times until an even spray lever is handed over. In the following applications, the dosing spray is ready for immediate use.
  • Carefully clean your nose before using the nasal spray. It is recommended to apply the last dose of the day before going to bed.
  • For hygiene reasons and avoiding infections, a spray bottle should only be used by one person.

• Warnings and Precautions
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using the nasal spray,
    • if you are dealt with with certain medicines against depression, which are referred to as monoaminoxidase inhibitors (MAO inhibitors), or with other potentially blood pressure-enhancing medicines (e.g. doxapram, ergotamine, oxytocin).
    • if they are treated with blood pressure -lowering medicines (e.g. methyldopa).
    • if you suffer from an increased intraocular pressure, in particular a narrow -angle glaucoma.
    • if you suffer from a coronary heart disease or high blood pressure (hypertension).
    • if you suffer from a tumor of the adrenal gland (Phäochromocytom).
    • if you have metabolic disorders such as B. suffering from an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism) and diabetes.
    • if you have a metabolic disease known as porphyria (a metabolic disorder that affects the skin and/or nervous system).
    • if your prostate is enlarged (prostate hyperplasia).
  • The use of chronic runny nose may only be carried out under medical control due to the loss of the nasal mucosa (tissue in the nose).
• Children
  • The nasal spray must not be used in children under 2 years.
  • Long -term application and overdose, especially in children, must be avoided. The application for higher doses may only be carried out under medical control.

 

• Wateriness and ability to operate machines
  • No side effects can be expected in the event of intended use.

Pregnancy

• Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking/using all drugs.
• Pregnancy
  • The nasal spray can be used for no more than a week during pregnancy.
• Breastfeeding
  • It is not known whether xylometazoline and dexpanthenol pass into breast milk. A risk of the infant cannot be excluded. A decision must be made about whether breastfeeding can be interrupted or whether treatment with the nasal spray should be dispensed with/the treatment should be interrupted. Both the benefits of breastfeeding for the child and the benefits of therapy for women must be taken into account.
