Field of use

• The preparation is a mineral preparation.
• It is used
  • for the treatment of magnesium deficiency in need of therapy that do not require injection/infusion;
  • in the event of magnesium deficiency if it is the cause of disorders of muscle activity (neuromuscular disorders, calf cramps).

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken
  • if you are hypersensitive to magnesium to (hydrogenaspartate) or one of the other components.
  • if you suffer from severe kidney dysfunction with excretion or lack of fluid of the body.

dosage

• Always take this medicine exactly as described or follow your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• The dosage depends on the extent of the magnesium deficiency and lies at the discretion of the doctor.
• The recommended dosage is
  • Adult:
    • 1 Bag 1 to 3 times a day (corresponding to 121.5- 364.5 mg magnesium).
  • Application in children and adolescents
    • Young people from 12 years:
      • 1 Bag 1 to 3 times a day (corresponding to 121.5- 364.5 mg magnesium).
    • Children from 4-11 years:
      • 1 Bag 1 to 2 times a day (corresponding to 121.5- 243 mg magnesium).
    • Children from 1 to3 years:
      • 1 Bag 1 times a day (corresponding to 121.5 mg magnesium).
    • Children under 1 year:
      • The preparation should not be used.
  • Kidney dysfunction
    • The medicine must not be taken by patients with severe kidney dysfunction.
    • It should be used in patients with light to moderate kidney dysfunction with caution. Ask your doctor in which dose and how long you should take this magnesium preparation. See also category "Patient notice".
  • Liver dysfunction
    • Due to inadequate data, there are no special dosage recommendations for patients with limited liver function.

• Duration of the application
  • The duration of the application depends on the extent of the magnesium deficiency and lies at the discretion of the doctor.

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should,
  • the side effects given in section "side effects" can occur increased.

• If you have forgotten the intake
  • Do not take the double amount if you have forgotten the prior intake.

Taking

• Please stir the contents of a bag in half a glass of water, tea or fruit juice and completely drink the contents of the glass. The medicine should vor the food is taken, as this improves the recording from the gastrointestinal canal into the bloodstream.

  • Children and adolescents
    • There is no sufficient experiences for the use of this preparation in children under 1 year. It should therefore not be used in children under 1 year.
      

• Wateriness and operating machines:
  • There are no special precautions required.

Pregnancy

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this drug.
• The preparation can be used during pregnancy and lactation if the doctor considers this necessary.
• Experiences at more than 1000 pregnancy outputs do not indicate a malformation risk or effects of magnesium on male or female fertility.
• Magnesium showed no effect on breastfed newborns/children of treated mothers.

Hints

Miscellaneous

- Soft chairs can be the result of high-dose magnesium therapy. If disturbing diarrhea occurs, the daily dose should be reduced. This can be an indication that an increased magnesium concentration in the blood has already been achieved. The dose should also be reduced. - 1 bag contains approx. 3 g of sugar approx. 0.25 bread units (BE). This must be taken into account in the case of diabetes.
