Field of use

• This medicine is a mineral/magnesium preparation.
• Field of use:
  • Magnesium deficiency if it is the cause of disorders of muscle activity and oral therapy is not possible.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be used,
  • if you are allergic to magnesium-d-gluconate or one of the other components of this medicine,
  • for muscle weakness (myasthenia gravis),
  • with the slow sequence of the heart (pronounced bradycardia),
  • in the event of a predisposition to kidney stones (magnesium-calcium-collection phosphate stone diathesis),
  • in the case of disorders of the excitation line (e.g. AV block),
  • for severe kidney dysfunction.

dosage

• The medicine should always be used exactly after consultation with your doctor. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure. Please adhere to the application regulations, otherwise the medicine cannot work properly!
• Recommended dosage:
  • The dosage depends on the severity of the magnesium deficit or the amount of the need.
  • 1 Ampoule in 1 to 2-day distance.

 

• Duration of the application
  • The injection of an ampoule should be repeated at a distance of 1 to 2.

 

• When a larger amount was used
  • An S is recommended as a countermeasure for overdose symptoms (blood pressure drop, respiratory disorders)oftige intravenous calcium administration.

 

• When the application was forgotten
  • Do not apply the double dose if the prior intake has been forgotten.

 

• When the application is canceled
  • The treatment should only be demolished by the doctor's consent.

 

• If you have any further questions about the application of the drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Taking

• For intramuscular and intravenous use (injection).
• The medicine is deeply injected into a muscle or slowly into a vein. The injection into a vein must be very slowly on the lying patient (the first 3 ml in 3 minutes).

  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this preparation.
  • Diseases attributed to magnesium deficiency can also have other causes. If the intake has no effect, you should see your doctor in the event of complaints.

 

• Wateriness and ability to operate machines
  • No further precautionary measures are required.

Pregnancy

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this drug.
• Pregnancy
  • There is no evidence of a malformation risk. However, the documented experiences in humans with the application in early pregnancy are very low. The medicine should therefore only be applied by the treating doctor after the appropriate benefit-risk assessment.
  • If magnesium is administered shortly before birth, the newborn should be monitored for signs of toxicity (neurological depression with respiratory depression, muscle weakness, loss of reflexes) during the first 24 - 48 hours of life. The administration of aminoglycoside antibiotics should be avoided during this period, since there are indications of interactions. When using magnesium to inhibit labor over a longer period of time in high doses, there have been reports on disorders of the skeletal annoying in newborns. However, there are no concerns when applying in the indicated therapeutic dosage.
