How does the ingredient of the medicine work?

The active ingredient helps against flatulence. These are caused by pent-up gases in the gastrointestinal tract that are available in the form of a fine foam. The active ingredient promotes the departure of the gases by destroying this foam.

- Beware of allergy against formaldehyde (E 239)!
- Solving investigators (e.g. poly (oxyethylene) -ratinus oils) can cause stomach upset and diarrhea.

Field of use

  • The medicine is a defany.
  • The preparation is used:
    • for diagnostic preparation in the abdominal area (elimination of foam accumulation), such as B. in esophagoscopy, gastroscopy, duodenoscopy, jejuno-silo-oscopy, rectoscopy, sigmoid copy, colonoscopy;
    • for the double contrast presentation of the stomach or double contrast representation of the colon

Contradictions

  • The medicine must not be taken if you
    • are hypersensitive (allergic) against Simeticon or one of the other components of the preparation.

dosage

  • Always take the medicine exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
  • Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is
    • 10 ml of the preparation (corresponding to 52.6 mg Simeticon) in front of or during endoscopy. If necessary, the dose can be increased.
  • If the stomach is presented with a double contrast:
    • 10 ml of the preparation (corresponding to 52.6 mg Simeticon) to 150-250 ml of contrast.
  • If the colon is presented in the double contrast:
    • 20 ml of the preparation (corresponding to 105.2 mg Simeticon) to 1000-1500 ml of contrast.
  • The enclosed measurement cup must be used to accurate the drug.
  • The preparation can be given both undiluted and in a diluted ratio with water through the biopsy channel of the endoscope, as well as taken by the patient.
  • The medicine is to be shaken vigorously in both the concentrated form and after dilution before administering.
  • Lukewarm water is recommended to clean the biopsy channel of the endoscope.
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the drug is too strong or too weak.

 

  • If you have received a larger amount of the medicine than you should
    • The active ingredient of the preparation brings the foam in the gastrointestinal duct in a purely physical way to resolution and is chemically and biologically completely ineffective. Therefore, poisoning is practically excluded.

 

  • If you have any further questions about the application of the drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Taking

  • The enclosed measurement cup must be used to precisely dose the preparation.
  • The medicine can be given both undiluted and in a diluted ratio with water through the biopsy channel of the endoscope, as well as taken by the patient.
  • The preparation is to be shaken strongly in both the concentrated form and after dilution before administering.
  • Lukewarm water is recommended to clean the biopsy channel of the endoscope.

It helps a lot, unfortunately the flavor is ?castor? and only without a gagging sensation in a dilution of 1:75 Not suitable for children who do not love castor oil.
