Field of use

Emser Salt in the bag 2.95g (pack size: 100 pc) serve the supportive treatment of acute infections of the upper respiratory tract and chronic inflammatory diseases of the nose and sinuses as well as for cleaning the nasal mucous membranes. It can also be used as an accompanying measure of treatment to accelerate healing after a sinus surgery.

Mode of action

The natural Emser salt serves in solution of the local treatment of the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract. A nasal rinsing with the salt solution or its inhalation ensures moistening the mucosal surface, increases the stroke frequency of the ziliar hair and thereby improves the cleaning mechanism of the respiratory tract. Another positive effect of the application of the Emser salt in the bag 2.95g (pack size: 100 pc)solution is the loosening of fixed slime for acute infections. Hydrogen carbonate ions also neutralize the locally causing acids that arise during inflammatory reactions.

• 1 g natural Emser salt

100 ml isoosmotic solution contain 342 mg sodium ion and 7 mg potassium ions.

1 g natural emersal salt is obtained by evaporating 350 ml of pure spring water. This is taken from the mineral -rich thermal spring in Bad Ems. 1 Emser Salt in the bag 2.95g (pack size: 100 pc) contains 2.95 g natural Emser salt.

Contradictions

Emser Salt in the bag 2.95g (pack size: 100 pc) must not be used at:

• well -known hypersensitivity to Emser Salt
• Injuries to the nasal roof and the sinus walls in conjunction with rhinoliquorrhea (exit from liquid from the nose)
• greatly increased tendency to nosebleed

Special caution when using the Emser salt in the bag 2.95g (pack size: 100 pc) consists of:

• pronounced hypersensitivity of the respiratory tract (e.g. asthma bronchial)
• Compliance with a low-potassium and sodium diet (please note the content of the potassium and sodium ion per dose!)

According to the manufacturer, there is no limitation for the application during pregnancy and lactation. If necessary, consult a doctor.

Emser Salt in the bag 2.95g (pack size: 100 pc) must be used in water. This is usually done in isoosmotic concentration (11.8 g Emser salt in 1000 ml of water or 1 Emser Salt in the bag 2.95g (pack size: 100 pc) 250 ml of water) can also be possible in higher concentrations according to a doctor. The following applies:

• Inhalation: inhale 3-4 times a day for 10-15 minutes through the nose (the volume of the solution depends on the noisy type.)

Miscellaneous

When producing a ready -to -use solution, the quality of the water to be used must be observed:
- In the event of destruction using a destilized water, the use of distilled water is recommended, otherwise the nozzles of the devices could clog. Otherwise, tap water (boiled if possible) can be used.
- Sterile solutions should be used for nasal flushing in the first 3 days after surgery. For this purpose, the solutions with sterile distilled water should be produced.

- The fluoride content must be observed in caries.
