Field of use

• The preparation contains an active ingredient from the group of so-called non-steroidal anti-phlogistics/analgesics (anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving medicines).
• The medicine is used to externally treat pain, inflammation and swelling:
• Sports and accident injuries of the soft tissues (vision and tendonitis, bursitis, inflammation in the muscle and capsule area),
• degenerative diseases of the upper and lower limbs (peripheral extremities).
• Area of application for young people over 14 years:
  • For short -term treatment.
  • For local, symptomatic treatment of pain in acute bruises, strains or sprains due to a blunt trauma.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be used
  • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against diclofenac, acetylsalicylic acid, other non-steroidal anti-phlogis, isopropanol or one of the other components,
  • in the last third of the pregnancy,
  • of children and adolescents under the age of 14.

dosage

• Always apply Diclofenac exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
  • The medicine is 3-4 timesapplied to the affected parts of the body and slightly rubbed. Depending on the size of the painful area to be treated, 2 - 4 g of the preparation (cherry to walnut -sized amount) are required.
  • The preparation can also be used as accompanying therapy together with other diclofenac-containing dosage forms.

• Duration of the application
  • The duration of the usage will be decided by the medicating doctor.
  • For rheumatic diseases, the use of Diclofenac may be required over a longer period of time.

• Children and adolescents (under 14 years)
  • There is no sufficient data on the effectiveness and tolerance in children and adolescents under the age of 14.
• Young people (from 14 years)
  • Please search for a doctor if the symptoms worsen or last for more than 7 days.
• Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

• If you have used a larger amount than you should
  • If a larger amount has been applied within a short time, poisoning is not to be expected, but it is advisable to wash water as a countermeasure.

• If the gel was accidentally taken
  • In such cases, there may be disorders of the gastrointestinal tract (nausea, vomiting) and the central nervous system (headache, excitability, possibly also cramps in children.
  • If you suspect an accidental intake of the drug, please notify your doctor. According to the severity of poisoning, this can decide on the measures necessary.
  • Hold the package of the drug so that the doctor can find out about the active ingredient.

• If you have forgotten the application
  • Do not apply twice the amount if you have forgotten the previous application.

• If you have any further questions about the application of the drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Taking

• Apply to the affected parts of the body and rub it in easily.

Patient information

• Particular caution when using diclofenac is required,
  • if you are on non-steroidal inflammatory inhibitors or pain relievers (analgesics) in an earlier application. B. with asthma attacks, skin reactions or acute allergic runny nose.
  • The preparation may only be used with caution.
  • If you suffer from asthma, chronic bronchy-consuming (fruituctive) respiratory diseases, hay fever or nasal mucosal swelling (so-called nasal plyps), you can more often than other sick people on non-steroidal anti-rheumatics with asthma attacks, local skin or mucous membrane swelling (so-called cross-edema) or hints (Urticaria) react.
  • The drug should only be applied to intact skin areas, not on skin wounds or open injuries. Eyes and mucous membranes should not come into contact with the preparation.
  • Older patients
    • Particularly careful medical monitoring is required in older patients.

• Wateriness and operating machines
  • Not applicable.

Pregnancy

• Pregnancy
  • In the first and second third of pregnancy, you may only use the preparation after consultation with the doctor. In the last third of the pregnancy, you must not use the medicine, since an increased risk of complications for mother and child cannot be ruled out.
• Breastfeeding
  • Since Diclofenac merges into breast milk in small quantities, a longer use of diclofenac during breastfeeding should be avoided and a daily dosage of 16 g of 16 should not be exceeded. In order to avoid recording by the infant, breastfeeding may not apply the medicine in the chest area.
