Field of use

• The drug contains the active ingredient sodium cromoglicat. This belongs to a group of medicines that are referred to as anti -allergics.
• Sodium cromoglicat stops the release of natural substances in their eyes, which can lead to an allergic reaction. Signs of an allergic reaction are itchy, watery, red or inflamed eyes and swollen eyelids.
• Sodium cromoglicat belongs to a drug group of anti -allergics and is used to prevent and treat allergic reactions on the eye, which are triggered by hay fever (seasonal, allergic conjuctivitis) or by an allergy to fabrics such as dust mites or animal hair (perennial, allergic conjunctivitis). These allergies can occur:
  • In every season and is called "perennial allergic conjunctivitis"
  • Caused by different pollen in various seasons. This is called "seasonal allergic conjunctivitis" or hay fever.

Contradictions

• Sodium cromoglicat must not be used,
  • if you are allergic to sodium cromoglicat or one of the other components of this medicine.
  • Signs of an allergic reaction are: rash, swallowing or breathing problems, swelling of the lips, face, the throat, the tongue and worsening of redness, itching or swelling of the eye or eyelid.
• Do not apply this medicine if the symptoms mentioned above appear. If you are not sure, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using sodium cromoglicat.

dosage

• Always apply this medicine exactly by consultation with your doctor. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Adults and children over 6 years: 4 times a day one or two drops in each eye, or as your doctor prescribed it.
• If your symptoms worsen or do not improve, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.

 

• If you have used a larger amount of sodium cromoglicat than you should
  • Contact your doctor if you use the eye drops more often than the recommended dose or continuously for more than three months.

 

• If you have forgotten the application of sodium cromoglicat
  • If you have forgotten an application, get it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next application, let out the forgotten dose and return to your regular dosage scheme.
  • Do not apply the double dose if you have forgotten the previous application.

 

• If you cancel the use of sodium cromoglicat
  • Even if your symptoms have improved, you should continue to apply this medicine, as you are still surrounded by things to which you react allergically. Naturriumcromoglicat can prevent you from getting an allergic reaction. If you end the application, your allergy symptoms can reappear.

 

• If you have any further questions about the application of the drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

 

Taking

• Application of your eye drops
  • Wash your hands first, bend your head back and look at the blanket.
  • Pull the lower eyelid slightly so that a bag forms between your eyelid and your eye.
  • Turn the drip container over and press it carefully to put a drop in every eye to be treated. Do not touch your eye or eyelid with the tipper.
  • If a drop misses your eye, repeat the process.
  • Screw the locker back onto the drip container until it touches it.
• If you use sodium cromoglicat together with other eye drops, there should be at least 15 minutes between the applications.

• Warnings and Precautions
  • Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using sodium cromoglicat if you wear gave contact lenses. Do not wear any contact lenses if you use these drops. If you are not sure whether the above applies to you, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.

 

• Wateriness and operating machines
  • Immediate eyesight can occur immediately after the application of this drug. Do not sit down in the tax of a vehicle and do not operate machines as long as you see blurred.

Pregnancy

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this drug.
