Field of use

• The medicine is a mushroom -killing medicine for the external treatment of skin diseases (antifungal).
• The solution is used for the skin of the skin by dermatophytes, yeasts, molds and others, such as Malassezia forcede. These can occur e.g. B. in the form of
  • Mycoses of the feet (mycosis of the toe spaces, soles of the feet, back of the foot)
  • Mycoses or fungal infestation of the body skin and body skin folds

• Miconazole is used in infants, children and adults.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be used

dosage

• Always apply this medicine as described or exactly after the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Dosage
  • The solution is applied 1-3 times a day to the diseased skin region.
  • The signs of fungal disease usually decrease significantly within the first 7 days after the start of treatment with Miconazole. If the signs of the fungal disease do not go back within the first 7 days after the start of treatment, you must see a doctor.
  • The treatment should be carried out to avoid recurrence until the mushroom culture is negative, but at least 14 days after the complaints subsided.
  • There should be a treatment -free period of 3 - 4 days between the last application of miconazole and the creation of a mushroom culture so that any residues of active ingredients do not affect culture.
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the solution is too strong or too weak.

• Duration of the application
  • The therapy duration is an average of 2 - 5 weeks.

• If you have used a larger amount of the drug than you should
  • Excessive use can lead to skin reactions that usually go back after the end of the therapy.
  • If you take Miconazole accidentally, please contact your doctor.

• If you have forgotten the application of the drug
  • Do not apply the double dose if you have forgotten the previous application.

• If you cancel the application of the drug
  • If you cancel the treatment too early, a recurrence of the fungal infection is possible.

• Miconazole used on the skin is absorbed by the body to a very small extent (less than 1 %).
• During pregnancy and breastfeeding, you should only use the solution after consultation with a doctor.
• Breastfeeding
  • There is no data whether the active ingredient is released into breast milk.
  • Please do not use the solution during breastfeeding in the chest area. This is how you avoid the direct contact of the infant with Miconazol Acis solution.
