Field of use

• The preparation is a yeast -specific antifungal.
• Application areas:
  • The ointment is applied for non -narrowing skin infections with nystin -sensitive yeasts, e.g. B. in the event of infestation of the hands and feet, the nails and nail edges, the corners of the mouth, the outer ear canal, the anal and genital area.

Contradictions

• The ointment must not be used,
  • if you are allergic to Nystatin or a related active ingredient (e.g. amphotericin B, Natamycin) or one of the other components of this drug.
• If hypersensitivity occurs (e.g. itching, burning), the medication must be discontinued and the doctor must be consulted.

dosage

• Always apply this medicine as described or exactly after the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, you should apply ointment 2 - 3 times a day to the sick skin. In the case of apparent therapy resistance (ineffectiveness), application can also be done more often, in severe cases.

• Duration of the application
  • The ointment should be applied for about 6 days until the disease subsides. In order to secure full therapy success, the treatment should be continued for another 8-10 days.
• Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the ointment is too strong or too weak. If you have any further questions about the application of the drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

• If you have used a larger amount than you should
  • In the event of overdoses, the side effects known for the active ingredient Nystatin can occur. Symptoms of poisoning are not known.

• If you have forgotten the application
  • Do not apply twice the amount if you have forgotten the previous application.

• If you cancel the application
  • When treating fungal infections, all mushroom stoves on the skin and the mucous membranes must be removed in order to avoid relapses that arise from untreated mushroom herds.

Therapy resistance, which can occur in rare cases, is not synonymous with pathogen resistance. An apparent resistance can be overcome through more frequent use and higher doses.

- In the case of fungal infections, all diseased areas must be treated to prevent renewed diseases that work from other mushroom herds.
