The first intake should take place at least half an hour (preferably 1 to 2 hours) before the start of the trip. Further intake should take place at the earliest 6 hours after the previous income. > 10-15 kg: 1- 4 x daily 1 bag > 15-20 kg: 1- 3 x daily 2 bags > 20-25 kg: 1- 4 x daily 2 bags > 25- 30 kg: 1 - 3 x a day 3 bags Take after meals to minimize stomach stomachs.   • Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine when you:
    • have a sugar intolerance

    • have low blood level values regarding potassium (hypocalaemia) or magnesium (hypomagnesaemia)
    • suffer from slow heartbeat (bradycardia)
    • suffered from certain heart diseases (congenital long QT syndrome or other clinically significant heart damage, in particular circulatory disorders of the coronary arteries, arousal disorders)
    • at the same time apply medicines that also extend the so-called QT interval in the EKG or lead to hypocalaemia
  • The preparation should be taken after meals to minimize any stomach irritation.
  • During the treatment, you should not consume alcohol or alcohol -containing medicines.
  • Older people
    • Find your doctor before taking this preparation when you:
      • have a history with constipation, dizziness or drowsiness
      • Have prostate problems
      • suffer from Parkinson's
      • suffer from complaints that could be reinforced by anticholinergic therapy (e.g. B. increased intraocular pressure, pyloro-duodenal obstruction, prostate hypertrophy, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, orthostatic hypotension (blood pressure drop when taking an upright position) or severe coronary heart disease)
  • Children and adolescents
    • Especially for infants and toddlers up to 3 years old, severe side effects such as seizures can occur under dimenhydrinate. The indication for treatment should therefore be tightened with this patient group. Small children with simple gastrointestinal flu or feverish infections should not be treated with dimen hydrinate. In these cases, however, care should be taken to take care of a sufficient supply of liquid and electrolytes.
    • The medicine is not recommended in children under 2 years.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless your doctor has recommended it to you. Your doctor may carry out additional examinations while taking this medicine.

• Wateriness and ability to operate machines
  • Dimenhydrinate can cause sleepiness. Alcohol consumption or taking medicines containing alcohol can increase this effect. Caution should be exercised when driving or operating machines.

Pregnancy

• If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this drug.
• Pregnancy
  • The preparation should not be taken during the third trimester, as it may cause premature uterine contractions.
  • In the first six months of pregnancy, it should only be used if the advantages outweigh the risks significantly. Your doctor will decide whether you should take this medication.
• Breastfeeding
  • The active ingredient dimen hydrinate merges into breast milk. So far, no long -term negative effects in breastfed babies have been noticed. Nevertheless, you should switch to bottle nutrition or adjust the treatment and ask your doctor for advice.
