Field of use

• The preparation is a medicine for the mucus solution for respiratory diseases with a tough mucus (mucolytic). The medicine is used for mucus -proceeding treatment for acute and chronic diseases of the bronchi and lungs with a tough mucus.

Contradictions

• You must not take the medicine
  • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against ambroxol or one of the other components of the preparation.

dosage

• Always take the medicine exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is
  • Adults and adolescents from the age of 12
    • generally take 1 capsule (corresponding to 75 mg ambroxol hydrochloride/day).
• Notice:
  • If you suffer from a limited kidney function or a serious liver disease, you must increase the revenue distances of the drug or reduce the dose.

 

• Duration of the application
  • Do not take the medicine without a medical advice for more than 4-5 days. If no improvement occurs after this time or your clinical picture worsens, you should see a doctor.
• Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the drug is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have taken a larger amount of the drug than you should
  • Serious symptoms of poisoning have not been observed when the ambroxol was overdosed. It was reported on short -term unrest and diarrhea. In the event of accidental or intended extreme overdose, increased saliva secretion, strangling, vomiting and blood pressure drop can occur.
  • If you have taken the medicine in too large quantities, please contact a doctor. Acute measures, such as triggering vomiting and gastric flushing, are not generally indicated and are only considered to be extremely overdosed. Treatment is recommended according to the appearing appearances of the overdose.

 

• If you forgot to take the drug
  • Do not take the double dose. Once you have forgotten to take the preparation or have taken too little, please continue taking the medicine as described in the dosage instructions the next time.

Taking

  • if you suffer from a rare disease of the bronchi, which is accompanied by excessive secretion collection (e.g. Malignes Zilien-Syndrome). Because of a possible secretion, you should only take the medicine after consulting your doctor.
  • In connection with the application of ambroxol, there were reports on severe skin reactions.
  • If you have a rash (including mucous membrane damage in the mouth, neck, nose, eye and genital area), please end the application of the drug and immediately get medical advice.
• Children
  • Due to the high active ingredient content, the medicine is not suitable for children under the age of 12. Medicines are available for this in the form of tablets with a lower active ingredient content.

Pregnancy

• So far there is no sufficient experiences on people. You should take the medicine during pregnancy, especially during the first third, and during breastfeeding only according to your doctor and after he has carried out careful risk-risk assessment.

- In the case of severe kidney dysfunction, the conservation dose should be reduced accordingly or the distance between the applications (dosage interval) should be extended. - The expectorant effect of ambroxol hydrochloride is supported by fluid intake.
