Aftab. 0.025 mg adhesion
Active substance: Triamcinolonacetonide
For use in adults.

Read the entire leaflet carefully because it contains important information for you. This medicine is available without prescription. However, in order to achieve the best possible treatment leader, AFTAB must be applied correctly.

1. What is aftab and what is it used for?

AFTAB is a medicament with the active substance triamcinolonacetonide. Triamcinolonacetonide is a synthetic adrenal hormone (Glucocorticoid) with anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory properties.

AFTAB is applied to:
Repeatedly occurring (recurrent) aphthene of the oral mucosa.

At the first appearance of the oral mucosa skin disease, a doctor is to be consulted before the application of AFTAB.

2. What do you need to consider before using AFTAB?

AFTAB®1 must not be used:
  • if they are hypersensitive (allergic) against triamcinolonacetonide; Yellow orange S (E110) or one of the other ingredients of AFTAB are
  • if you choose chickenpox (varicella) and other virus infections, vaccine reactions, syphilis (lues) and tuberculous as well as bacterial infections or fungal diseases (mycoses), especially in the mouth and throat area.

Take special care with AFTAB, if you apply AFTA to longer or repeatedly. Then it can be used to accommodate the active ingredient into the body (systemic absorption) and in the sequence to the adrenal hormones (Glucocorticoids) own side effects come, in these cases the treatment should be aborted, which generally leads to a decay of the side effects if necessary, a treatment of side effects should be carried out,

Children:
Application in children / youths under the age of 16 may only be carried out under medical control.

Bai Application of Aftab with other medicines:

Pregnancy and breast feeding period:
The application of triamcinolone in the first 5 months of pregnancy should be omitted because animal experiments have indications of teratogenic effects (malformations) have not been present and insights into the safety of application during this period is not available for humans. For long-term use, intrauterine growth isdisorders can not be ruled out. For a treatment at the end of pregnancy, there is a risk of atrophy of adrenal bark for the fetus. There are no special precautions required.

Important information about certain other ingredients of AFTAB:
This medicine contains lactose. Please contact AFTAB only after consultation with your etching, if you know that you suffer from any intolerance to certain sugars.

3. How is AfTab to apply?

Always use AFTAB exactly as directed in this leaflet. Please ask your doctor / dentist or pharmacist if you are not sure.

If the doctor / dentist is not prescribed otherwise the usual dose:
1 -2 adhesion tablets daily. The adhesive tablets are applied to the mucosal defects to be treated. For larger defects, a total of up to 3 adhesion tablets can be applied simultaneously.

Aftab is best used after the oral care:
  1. The alid is torn open and 1 attachment from the blister pushed out. Place the adhesion tablet with the white side down on a paper handkerchief so that the orange side points upwards
  2. Then moisten the fingertip of your index finger with a little saliva and easily touch the orange side of the adhesive tablet, so that this is liable on the finger
  3. Then press the adhesive tab with the white side easily on the mucosal defect to be treated and hold 2-3 Seconds. If you apply the AFTAB adhesion tablet to the tongue, please wait 2-3 minutes until a gel-like movie has formed over the mucosal defect. The resulting laugh film dissolves in the course of a few hours.

Do not use AFTAB without medical or dental advice no longer than 7 days. If no healing takes place within 7 days, the doctor must be consulted, which then decides on another treatment. Please talk to your doctor / dentist or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of aftab is too strong or too weak.

If you have used a larger amount of AFTAB when you should:
Please contact your doctor or a pharmacist if you have used a larger AFTAB as you should.

If you forget the application of AFTAB:
Do not apply twice the dose if you forget the previous application.

If you cancel the application of AFTAB:
If you want to interrupt the treatment or to quit prematurely, please consult with your doctor or pharmacist first.

4. Which side effects are possible?

Like all medicines, after-effects can have side effects, but they do not have to occur each other.

The frequency information on side effects is based on the following categories:
Very often: more than 1 treated from 10
Frequently: 1 to 10 treated from 100
Occasionally: 1 to 10 treated from 1 000
Rarely: 1 to 10 treated from 10 000
Very rare: less than 1 treated from 10 000
Not known: Frequency on the basis of the available data does not estimate.


Possible side effects:
Occasionally it may cause allergic skin reactions or Hypersensitivity reactions come. It should be noted that by adrenal hormones (glucocortkold) the defense reactions are suppressed, so that in the mouth pathogen (oral microorganisms) can initially increase inconspicuously. So was in rare Fa mushroom infestation, a so-called Candida mycosis, found in such a case, the treatment with AFTAB must be discontinued and the etching is visited. This medicament contains the dye yellow orange S (E110), which can cause all-sensitive reactions including asthma in persons, which are particularly sensitive to this substance. 5. How to keep aftab?

Store drug out of reach of children! You may post the medicine after the on the outer carton / container - Usable until - stated expiration date no longer use.
