1. What is E vitamin ratiopharm® and what is it used for?

E-Vitamin ratiopharm ® is a vitamin preparation.
E-Vitamin ratiopharm ® is used for treatment of a vitamin E-deficiency. E-Vitamin ratiopharm ® is not suitable for the treatment of vitamin E deficiency states that come with a disturbed intake of vitamin E from the intestine. In these cases, parenteral preparations (syringes) are available.

2. What should you before taking E vitamin ratiopharm® NOTE?

E-Vitamin ratiopharm ® must not be taken - if they are allergic to all-rac-a-tocopherol acetate, soy, peanut or one of the other ingredients of this medicine mentioned in section 6.

Warnings and Precautions
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you
E-Vitamin ratiopharm ® take.

• at the same time they occupy certain medicines for inhibiting blood clotting (see "Taking E-Vitamin ratiopharm ® Together with other medicines "). Please contact your doctor.
• if there is a vitamin K deficiency at the same time. In case of malabsorption, combined vitamin E and vitamin K deficiency, blood clotting must be carefully monitored, as it came in individual cases to a strong waste of vitamin K. Please contact your doctor.

Taking E-Vitamin ratiopharm ® together with other medicines:
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you take / use other medicines, recently taken / applied / applied / use other medicines.
The effect of e-vitamin ratiopharm ® is influenced as follows:
The effect of e-vitamin ratiopharm ® can be reduced while taking iron-containing medicines. The effect of subsequently called drugs or Preparate groups can be influenced during simultaneous treatment:
The inhibition of blood clotting by drugs from the group of vitamin K antagonists (phenprocoumon, warfarin, dicumarol) can be reinforced while taking vitamin e. The blood clotting is therefore carefully monitored.

Pregnancy and breast feeding period:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you suspect to be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
In pregnancy, you should take 13 MG Vitamin E every day.
E-Vitamin ratiopharm ® passes the placenta. So far, no damage was observed at the unborn child - even at higher revenue quantities.
In the lactation, you should take 17 Mg Vitamin E daily. E-Vitamin ratiopharm ® gets into breast milk.

Driving and ability to operate machines:
There are no special precautions required.

E-Vitamin ratiopharm ® contains sorbitol.
Please take E-Vitamin ratiopharm ® therefore only after consulting with your doctor if you are known to suffer from any intolerance to certain sugars.

3. How to take e-vitamin ratiopharm?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or just according to the consultation made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is:
Adults take 1 soft capsule e-vitaminratopharm®, According to 268 MG RRR-A-TOCOPHEROL equivalents.

Type of application:
Please take the soft capsules with sufficient fluid (preferably a glass of drinking water).

Duration of application:
The duration of taking is dependent on the course of the basic disease. Please ask your doctor. Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of e-vitaminratopharm® is too strong or too weak.

If you take a greater amount of E-VitaminRatopharm® than you should:
Dangerous disease phenomena due to overdose (Hypervitaminosis) are unknown.

If you are taking E-Vitamin ratiopharm ® forgot:
Do not take the double amount when you forget the previous taking. Continue with the application as described in the dosage instructions.

4. Which side effects are possible?

Like all medicines, this medicine can also have side effects, but they do not have to occur each other.
For prolonged use of doses over 400 MG RRR-α- Tocopherol equivalents per day (corresponding to 1 soft capsules E vitamin ratiopharm ®) can lead to a lowering of the thyroid hormone mirror in the blood.
Very rare (can take up to 1 of 10,000 treated) occur at high doses in the range of 800 mg RRR-A-tocopherol equivalents per day (correspondingly 3 soft capsules E vitamin ratiopharm ®) Gastric and intestinal complaints.
Soy oil can be very rare (can up to 1 of 10,000 relate to allergic reactions.

5. How to keep e-vitamin ratiopharm?

Keep this medicine inaccessible to children.
You may not use this medicine after the expiry date specified on the outer carton and the blister packs "usable until". The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
This medicinal product does not require special storage conditions.
Do not dispose of medicines in the wastewater. Ask your pharmacist, WIe To dispose of the medicine if you do not use it anymore. You help to protect our environment.

6. Content of the pack and further information

What E vitamin ratiopharm ® contains
- The active ingredient is: RRR-A-Tocopherol (as All-RAC-A- Tocopherol acetate). Each soft capsule contains 268 MG RRR-α-tocopherol equivalents (as All-Rac-α-tocopherolacetate).
Note:
All-rac-α-tocopherolacetate belongs to the substances, which are summarized as "vitamin E.
- The other ingredients are: gelatine, glycerol 85%, Sorbitol (Ph.eur.), Purified water, soy oil (Ph.eur.).

Elongated, transparent soft capsule with yellow, clear, oily content.
E-Vitamin ratiopharm ® is in packs with 30 and 60 soft capsules available.
