How does the ingredient of the medicine work?

The active ingredient protects the nerves of the arms and especially legs from the damaging influences of diabetes (diabetes). Field of use

  • Thiocic acid (alpha-lipoic acid) is a substance formed in the body's own metabolism that influences certain metabolism of the body. In addition, thioc acid (antioxidant) properties that protect the nerve cells from reactive degradation products.
  • The medicine is used at
    • Display sensations in diabetic nerve damage (polyneuropathy).

Nerve disease polyneuropathy can be a complicit from e.g. diabetes mellitus. It occurs with every third diabetes patient, initially slowly, creeping and unnoticed, free of symptoms. Nevertheless, diabetic polyneuropathy should be diagnosed and treated in good time in order to prevent further complications and the progression of the disease and severe consequential damage.

You should pay attention to this: Due to the increased blood sugar in diabetes mellitus, the peripheral nervous system is damaged, i.e. the restriction of the nerve function on the hands, arms, legs and feet. The first signs of the disease and symptoms are very diverse:
Tingling on your hands and feet
Daubiness and peeling feeling on hands and feet
Pain on the feet during the night's sleep.

As soon as you notice one of these signs, you should tell your doctor about it and show small injuries or deformations on your feet. He will then immediately point out the possibility of a timely treatment of alpha lipoic acid and make a recommendation for medication, possibly even issuing a green recipe for Alpha Lipon Aristo®.

Alpa lipoic acid (also referred to as thioc acid) is a recognized pharmaceutical active ingredient. This body own material is known as a coenzyme and opponent of aggressive oxygen radicals for its strong antioxidant effect. It improves the properties of the nerve line and the blood flow to the nerves. The active ingredient is approved for the therapy of polyneuropathy and the only known substance that influences the cause of nerve damage.

Alpha Lipon Aristo® is available as film -coated tablets and infusion solution or as a concentrate for the production of an infusion.

In order to transport a sufficient amount of protective alpha lipoic acid to the affected nerves right at the beginning of a nerve disease, infusions are the best way. Such infusions should be carried out until they are noticeable to accept the symptoms and symptoms, i.e. until the pain, tingling and numbness decrease or even completely subsided. This is generally the case after a period of two to three weeks (for five days of infusion).

In order to stabilize the effect of the infusion of Alpha Lipon Aristo® in the long term, it is important to continue the therapy by further absorbing the active ingredient alpha lipoic acid in tablet form.

In this way, they also effectively prevent polyneuropathy to the serious consequential damage. Particularly important for the prevention of polyneuropathy, it is to maintain and stimulate the blood flow to the extremities as well as to avoid injuries or deformations of the feet, e.g. by shoes that are too tight. Contradictions

  • The medicine cannot be taken
    • if you are allergic to thioc acid or one of the other components.

dosage

  • Always take this medicine exactly as described or exactly after the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
  • The recommended dose is:
    • 1 Film -coated tablet thioc acid (corresponding to 600 mg Thiocsic acid) as a one -off dose about 30 minutes before the first meal.

 

  • Duration of the application
    • Since diabetic nerve damage is a chronic disease, it may be that you have to take thiocentic acid permanently.
    • In individual cases your doctor decides.
    • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

 

  • If you have taken a larger amount than you should
    • In the event of overdose, nausea, vomiting and headache can occur.
    • In individual cases, when taking more than 10 g Thiocic acid, especially with strong alcohol consumption, severity, e.g. T. life-threatening symptoms observed (such as generalized seizures, derailment of the acid-base household with lact tatismosis, serious disorders of blood clotting).
    • Therefore, if there is suspicion of considerable overdose (e.g. B. more than 10 tablets of 600 mg in adults and more than 50 mg/kg body weight in children) required immediately and the initiation of measures according to the general treatment principles of poisoning cases.

 

  • If you have forgotten the intake
    • Do not take the double amount if you have forgotten the prior intake.

 

  • If you have any further questions about the application of the drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

 

Taking

  • The film -coated tablets are to be incolored and with sufficient liquid on an empty stomach. The simultaneous absorption of food can hinder the transition of thiocic acid into the bloodstream. It is therefore particularly important for patients who also have an extended gastric emptying period that taking it half hour before the meal/breakfast.

  • It corresponds to the general principles of pharmacotherapy, during pregnancy and breastfeeding pharmaceuticals only to apply after careful use-risk assessment.
  • Pregnant and breastfeeding should only undergo treatment with alpha lipoic acid after careful recommendation and surveillance by the doctor, since there are no experience with this patient group so far. Special studies on animals have no evidence of FEritness disorders or fruit -damaging effects.
  • Nothing is known about a possible transfer of alpha lipoic acid to breast milk.
