How does the ingredient of the medicine work?

The active ingredient damages the outer shell, the so -called cell membrane of mushrooms. This case thus loses part of its functions, cell components emerge and the cell can dissolve. What should you consider?
- Be careful with allergy against mushrooms (e.g. amphotericin B, Nystatin)!
- Parabens (preservatives e.g. E 214 - E 219) can cause hypersensitivity reactions, even with a time delay.
- Beware of allergy against perubalam and cinnamon.

Field of use

• The medicine is a yeast -specific antifungal antifungal.
• It is used in yeast piling infections of the oral mucosa (oral soor).

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be used
  • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against Nystatin and another related substance such as B. Natamycin (Pimaricin) and amphotericin B or one of the other components. This also applies if you react hypersensitively to perubal seeds (cross allergy).

dosage

• Always apply the drug according to instructions. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, 3 - 5 times a day after meals, a large amount of the gel with his finger is evenly distributed in the mouth.

 

• Duration of the application
  • The clinical experience has shown that the treatment of the oral building is usually completed after 14 days. To avoid renewed infection, however, a few days should be treated beyond the clinical healing, especially for infants.
• Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the drug is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have used a larger amount of the drug than you should
  • In the event of overdoses, the side effects known for the active ingredient Nystatin can occur.
  • Symptoms of poisoning are not known.

  • Next time, do not use twice the amount, but continue the application, as prescribed or as described by your doctor.

Therapy resistance, which can occur in rare cases, is not synonymous with pathogen resistance. An apparent resistance can be overcome through more frequent use and higher doses.

• The active ingredient nystatin is considered harmless in terms of application during pregnancy and lactation.
