Active ingredient: ivy leaves - dry extract

1. What is Bronchostad and what is it used for?

Bronchostad is a herbal medicine in case of respiratory diseases. Bronchostad is used to improve the complaints in chronic bronchial diseases and control diseases of the respiratory tract.

2. What do you need to consider before taking Bronchostad?

Bronchostad must not be taken:

• if you are hypersensitive (allergic) against ivy leaves dry extract or any of the other ingredients of Bronchostad,
• if you are pregnant or during lactation,
• from children under 1 year.

Special care when taking Bronchostad is required:
For longer-persistent complaints or at the occurrence of respiratory distress, fever as well as a purulent or bloody ejection, a doctor should be consulted immediately.

When taking Bronchostad with other medicines:
Interactions were not investigated. So far, no interactions have become known.

Pregnancy and breast feeding period:
Bronchostad must not be taken during pregnancy and lactation. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before applying all medicines.

Driveion and use of machines:
There are no special precautions required.

Important information about certain ingredients of Bronchostad:
Bronchostad contains maltitol solution. Please accept Bronchostad after consultation with your doctor if you are familiar with any intolerance to certain sugars. 1 Measuring spoon with 5 ml syrup contains 3.6 g maltitol corresponding to approx. 0.7 bread units (BE). If you need to follow a diabetes diet, you should take this into account. The calorie value is 2.3 kcal / g maltitol. Maltitol solution can have a slightly laxative effect.

Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have applied other medicines or recently applied, even if it is non-prescription medicines.

3. What is Bronchostad take?

Always take Bronchostad exactly as one in this leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose for adults and adolescents from 12 years 3 times daily 1 scoop with 5 ml syrup (equivalent to 300 mg ivy leaves per day) for children from 5-11 4 times daily scoops with 2.5 ml syrup (corresponding Ivy leaves 200 mg per day), for children 1 to 4 years old 3 times daily scoops with 2.5 ml syrup (corresponding to 150 mg ivy leaves per day).

Type of application:
To take. Take the syrup please neat or in a glass of water and drink it enough fluids to (preferably a glass of drinking water). Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of Bronchostad is weak too strong or too.

How long should you take Bronchostad?
Do not take this medicine without consulting a doctor for more than a few days (see: Take special care when taking Bronchostad is needed).

5. What is Bronchostad be kept?

Store drug out of reach of children. You may not use the medicinal product after the expiration date specified on the folding box and the label. After a breakdown of the container, the medicine is lasting for 12 months. Medicines should not be disposed of in wastewater or budgetary waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the medicine if you no longer need it. This measure helps protect the environment.

What Bronchostad contains:
The active ingredient is ivy leaves dry extract. 15 ml (= 19,125 g) Syrup contain 50 mg dry extract from ivy leaves in a ratio of drug to extract as 4-8: 1. The extension means is ethanol 30% (m / m). The other ingredients are: Bitterfel oil, citric acid monohydrate, potassium sorbate (pH. EUR.), Malitol solution, purified water, fluid extract from liquorice root (1: 0.8-1.2). Extractant: ethanol 70% (m / m).
