How does the ingredient of the medicine work?

What should you consider?
- Be careful with allergy against mushrooms (e.g. amphotericin B, Nystatin)!

- Caution with allergy against dyes (e.g. Tartrazin (E 102), yellow orange S (E 110), Azorubin (E 122), Amaranth (E 123) and Ponceau 4R (E 124)).
- Beware of an intolerance to lactose. If you have to adhere to a diabetes diet, you should take the sugar content into account.
- There can be medicinal products with which interactions occur. Therefore, you should generally provide the doctor or pharmacist before treatment with a new medicine. Field of use

• The preparation is a means of treating fungal infections (antifungal).
• For topical therapy for nystatin-sensitive, intestinal yeastycoses, especially as a result of treatment with medication that promotes yeast growth in the gastrointestinal tract, e.g. B. broad spectrum antibiotics, corticoids and cytostatics.
• Reduction or elimination of the intestinal yeast reservoir in the gastrointestinal tract as accompanying therapy in the local treatment of existing anogenital candidiasis of the skin and mucous membrane (e.g. Candida fluorus).
• If you don't feel better or worse after 7 days, contact your doctor.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be taken
  • if you are allergic to Nystatin or a related active ingredient (amphotericin B, Natamycin) or one of the other components of the drug.
• The medicine is not suitable for the treatment of systemic mushroom infections (relating to internal organs).

dosage

• Always take this medicine exactly as described or exactly after the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• The recommended dose is:
  • To treat fungal diseases in the gastrointestinal tract-especially during treatment with medicinal products that promote yeast mushroom growth in the gastrointestinal tract (e.g. broadband antibiotics, corticoids, cytostatics)-1-2 film-coated tablets 3 times a day (corresponding to 1.5 - 3.0 million i.e. per day).
  • If necessary, the dosage can be increased.

 

• Duration of the application
  • The duration of the application is 2 weeks or as long as treatment with medication that promotes yeast growth.
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the drug is too strong or too weak.

 

 

• If you have taken a larger amount than you should
  • Very little information is available for overdosing with oral use of nystatinügbar. Since the intake from the gastrointestinal tract in the body is negligible after oral administration, even at high doses, side effects of nystatin on the organism are not to be expected even when overdosed. If necessary, the usual measures to remove medication must be taken from the gastrointestinal tract.

• Nystatin, the active ingredient of these film -coated tablets, is hardly absorbed in therapeutic dose after oral gift over the intact skin or over the mucous membranes. The placenta barrier does not happen, and a transfer to breast milk is also not to be expected.
