What is an allergy and how does it arise?

Onanxiety

• The drug contains the active ingredient azelastin, which belongs to a group of medicines that are referred to as antihistamines. Antihistamines prevent the effects of substances (such as histamines), which are produced by the body in connection with an allergic reaction. It was shown that Azelastin reduces inflammation in the nose.
• It is used for the symptomatic treatment of hay fever (seasonal allergic rhinitis) in adults, adolescents and children aged 6 and over.
• If you don't feel better or worse after 2 days, contact your doctor.

Contradictions

• The medicine must not be used,
  • if you are allergic to Azelastin hydrochloride or one of the other components of this medicine.

dosage

• Always apply this medicine as described or exactly after the agreement made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• The recommended dose is twice a day (in the morning and evening) 1 spray per nose hole (corresponds to 0.56 mg azelastin hydrochloride/day).
• Children
  • There are no sufficient studies on dosage and pharmacokinetics. Therefore, Azelastin should not be used in children under the age of 6.
• Patients with liver or kidney damage
  • There is no sufficient experience with the treatment of patients with liver and/or renal failure.

• Duration of the application
  • The duration of the application depends on the type, the severity and the course of the
    Discomfort. Azelastin is suitable for long -term treatment.
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

• If you have used a larger amount than you should
  • Azelastin is used locally in the nose. Due to the low amount of active ingredients, even even with extreme local overdose, symptoms of poisoning are not to be expected. However, if larger quantities are accidentally swallowed (e.g. the content of the bottle by a child), the doctor should definitely be consulted.
  • Experience in humans after using toxic (very high, toxic) doses of azelastin hydrochloride are not available. Due to animal experimental findings, with extreme overdosing and intoxication (poisoning), however, central nervous appearances (e.g. unrest, excitement or strongly pronounced, continuous fatigue or sleepiness) can be expected. The symptoms (symptoms) should therefore be treated.

• If you have forgotten the application
  • If you have forgotten the application, no special measures are required. Continue the therapy with the same dosage at the next time. If necessary, you can also use Azelastin between two times planned.

• If you cancel the application
  • If possible, treatment should be carried out regularly until the freedom of the symptoms is reached. If you interrupt the application, you have to expect the typical symptoms of your illness soon.

Taking

• The application should take place if the head is upright
• After removing the protective cover, only with dto pump it several times until the spray lever leaves.

• Notice:

  • If you tend your head too far to the rear during the application, sleepiness and bitter taste may occur as a result of increased inclusion in the body.

• Wateriness and ability to operate machines
  • When using the preparation, complaints such as fatigue, fatigue, exhaustion, dizziness or weakness, which can also be caused by the disease, are possible in individual cases. In these cases, the ability to carry a motor vehicle and to operate machines can be impaired. Please note that alcohol can worsen their traffic.

Pregnancy

• Pregnancy
  • There are inadequate experiences for the use of Azelastin in pregnancy. Therefore, the preparation should not be used as a precaution in the first three months of pregnancy. In the second and third thirds of the pregnancy, the medicine may only be used if it is absolutely necessary and a medical check is carried out.
• Breastfeeding
  • Since the active ingredient is excreted to breast milk to a small extent, the preparation should not be applied during breastfeeding.
