Tussafug, plated tablets for children from 7 years and adults
Active substance: 33 mg benproperin phosphate

1. What is Tussafug and what is it used for?

Tussafug is a cough styler for taking acute and chronic cough, especially irritating coughs.

2. What do you need to consider before taking Tussafug?

Tussafug must not be used:
  • if you are hypersensitive to benproperine phosphate or any of the other ingredients of Tussafug,
  • from children under 7 years.


Special care when taking Tussafug is required:
Chronic cough can be an early symptom of an asthma bronchial; Therefore, Tussafug is not indexed to damping the cough - especially in children - without diagnostic clarification. At the same time treatment with a mucus release, caution is provided because Tussafug can hinder the secret of the secretion.

When using Tussafug with other medicines:
Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have other medicines / apply or recently taken / applied, even if it is non-prescription medicines. No interaction studies were carried out.

Pregnancy and breast feeding period:
There are no sufficient data for the use of benproperine phosphate during pregnancy and lactation. In the case of expected or existing pregnancy, the application is generally undermined without medical consultation.

Driveion and use of machines:

Important information about certain ingredients of Tussafug:

3. What is Tussafug take?

Always take Tussafug exactly as directed in this leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. If not otherwise prescribed by the doctor is the Übelly dose: Children from 7 years 1-2 times a day 1 coated tablet, adults 2-4 times a day 1 -2 coated tablets. Suit the tablets so far with a glass of water. Suitable for diabetics. A coated tablet contains 44 mg digestible carbohydrates, corresponding to 0.004 Bread units. Coughing agents should not be taken beyond 2 weeks without a medical examination. So far, no poison phrases have become known.

4. Which side effects are possible?

6. Further information

What contains Tussafug:
The pharmaceutical ingredient is Benproperinphosphat. A coated tablet contains 33 mg of benproperine phosphate accordingly 25 mg benproperin. The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmello sodium, povidone K 30, magnesium stearate, talc, eudragit E 12.5 and L 30 D-55, titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate, glycerol, sucrose, silica, dye E 127 and Capol 600.
