What is Bronchodirect and what is it used for?
Bronchodirect is a herbal medicine that has an excerpt (Extract) contains from ivy leaves. It is used in adults and children aged 4 years as cough release (expectorant) in cough with ejection.
How to take Bronchodirect?
Bronchodirect is a fast-locking melt film that is placed on the tongue for use.
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or just according to the consultation made with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is:
For adults, older people and children from 6 years:
3 times a day (morning, at noon and evening) 1 melt film.
For children from 4-5 years:
2 times a day (morning and at noon) 1 melt film.
Children under 4 years:
The application is not intended for children under 4 years.
This medicine may not be used in children under 4 years.
There are no sufficient data for concrete dosage recommendation with renal or liver function.

Important: Do not touch the molten films with damp hands. The mouth should be empty before taking.
- Gently release the melt film out of the bag without damaging it. Pull the two halves of the bag on the one side, at which the bag is not sealed, carefully apart until they are released from each other.
- Do not cut the bag.
- Take out the melt film with dry fingers and put it directly on the tongue.

How does the ingredient of the medicine work?
The ingredients comes from the plant ivy and act as a natural
mixture. To the plant itself:
- Appearance:
Crawling or climbing plant with dark green leaves forming in autumn
and winter pea-sized, blue-black fruits.

Europe and Central Asia
- Main Ingredients:
Saponine, especially Alpha-Hederin
- used plant parts
and preparations: extracts of leaves, rarely from sprouts
The saponins contained in the ivy are capable of lowering the
surface tension of the liquid which covers the pulmonary bubbles,

- Beware of allergy against carrot, Ginseng and ivy!
- Caution for allergy to binders (e.g. Carboxymethylcellulose with
