Active ingredient: nicotine

Application areas:
To relieve nicotine withdrawal symptoms, to support smoking cessation in nicotine dependence. Smokers who are currently unable to stop smoking completely immediately can use Nicotinell chewing gum to reduce their cigarette consumption (smoking reduction) in order to start smoking cessation in this way. Counseling and patient care usually increase success rates.

The right potency for individual needs
Nicotinell chewing gum is available in two strengths: 2 mg and 4 mg. The appropriate dosage depends on your previous smoking habits.

For mild to moderate addiction (less than 20 cigarettes per day), the low dose (2 mg of gum) is preferable.
In the case of a strong to very strong dependency (more than 30 cigarettes per
day) the high dosage is preferable (Nicotinell Chewing Gum 4 mg, in Cool Mint and Tropical Fruit flavors).
If you have had 20 to 30 cigarettes smoked per day, the low or high dosage is suitable - depending on your individual characteristics and preferences.

Dosage and use of Nicotinell Chewing Gum 2 mg
Please read the leaflet carefully before use.

As a general rule, chew one Nicotinell gum whenever you feel like smoking. In general, 1 piece of gum should be chewed every 1-2 hours. Normally 8-12 pieces per day are sufficient. If you still feel the urge to smoke, you can chew more gum. However, do not exceed a number of Nicotinell 2 mg chewing gum of 25 pieces per day.

The correct chewing technique
The optimal effect of Nicotinell chewing gum unfolds with the right chewing technique.
< br> And this is how it works:
Chew gum slowly until a strong taste kicks in. Take a break: Park the gum between your cheek and gums until the flavor fades. Chew again until the strong taste kicks in – then pause again. Chew gum like this for about 30 minutes.
