The innovative duo sensor technology combines two professional measurement methods: the oscillometric measurement and the corotic measurement. While most automatic blood pressure measuring devices only work with the oscillometric technology that evaluates the pulse waves, the duo sensor technology also measures according to the extremely exact Korotkoff method in which a microphone is used to record heart sounds. Doctors can also use the corotkoff technology for blood pressure measurement, since it is extremely reliable (gold standard) and also provides correct measurement values in patients with cardiac arrhythmias.

Comfort Air technology
The Veroval® Duo Control upper arm blood pressure monitor with the Comfort Air technology ensures a gentle measurement. In contrast to most automatic blood pressure measuring devices with preset pumping pressure, devices with the Comfort Air technology are determined by the approximate systolic blood pressure each measurement and increased by 30 mmHg for higher measuring accuracy. This enables a more pleasant measurement on the upper arm.

Application Veroval® Duo Control
Creating the patented Secure Fit cuff
Before you put on the cuff, insert the connection connector of the cuff into the cuff socket on the left side of the device.
Do not mechanically constrict the cuff hose, squeeze together or bend.
The measurement must be carried out on the undressed upper arm. If your cuff is completely open, lead the end of the cuff through the metal bracket so that a loop is created. The Velcro fastener must be outside. Put the cuff on the grip bottle A (see Fig. 1) and put it over the upper arm.
The recess B (see Fig. 2) on the cuff, opposite the handle bottle, should be in the elbow. The hose should lie in the middle of the elbow and point towards the hand.
Now lightly bend your arm, grasp the free end of the cuff, guide it taut below your arm and close the Velcro fastener.

The cuff should be tight, but not too firm. You should be able to push two fingers between arm and cuff. Make sure that the hose is not kinked or damaged.

Important: The correct creation of the cuff is a prerequisite for a correct measurement result. The marking on the edge of the cuff will help you choose the right cuff size. The white arrow must point to an area within the size scale. If it is outside the scale, a correct measurement result can no longer be guaranteed and another cuff size is necessary.

Measurement of blood pressure
The 10 golden rules for blood pressure measurement
Many factors play a role in blood pressure measurements. These ten general rules help you to correctly carry out the measurement.

• 1. Keep calm about 5 minutes before the measurement. Even desk work increases blood pressure on average by approx. 6 mmHg systolic and 5 mmHg diastolic.
• 2. Close nicotine and no coffee up to an hour before the measurement.
• 3. Measure not under a strong urge to urinate. A filled bladder can lead to an increase in blood pressure of approx. 10 mmHg.
• 4. Completely undressed upper arm and measure in an upright, convenient attitude while sitting. The blood circulation must not be affected by e.g. rolled -up sleeves.
• 5. If you use a wrist measuring device, keep Bitte the cuff at heart during the measurement. With an upper arm measuring device, the cuff on the arm is automatically at the right height.
• 6. During the measurement, do not speak and do not move. Speaking increases the values of approx. 6–7 mmHg.
• 7. Wait two measurements at least one minute between two measurements so that the vessels for a new measurement are relieved of the pressure.
• 8. Measurement values always document with the date and time as well as with the medication taken, conveniently and easily with Veroval® Medi.Connect.
• Measure 9. Even if your values have improved, you should continue to check them yourself for control.
• 10. Measure at the same time. Since people have around 100,000 different blood pressure values every day, individual measurements have no meaning. Only regular measurements at the same time over a longer period of time enable a sensible assessment of the blood pressure values.
