      • if you have already had heart problems, high blood pressure or a stroke or are predisposed. Medicines such as this can be associated with a slightly increased risk of a heart attack ("myocardial infarction") or stroke. Any risk is more likely with high doses and longer treatment. Do not exceed the recommended dose or duration of treatment (3 days for the treatment of fever and 4 days for the treatment of pain). If you have heart problems or a previous stroke or think that you could have a risk for these diseases (for example, if you have high blood pressure, diabetes or high cholesterol or smokers), you should discuss your treatment with your doctor or pharmacist.

    • The risk of side effects can be minimized over the shortest possible period by using the lowest effective dose.
    • In general, the habitual use of (different types of) pain relievers can lead to permanent kidney damage. This risk can be increased with physical stress in connection with salt loss and drying out. Therefore it should be avoided.
    • The longer use of all kinds of painkillers against headaches can make them worse. If this is the case or if this is suspected, medical advice should be obtained and treatment can be broken off. The diagnosis of headaches by means of medication (Medication Overuse Headache, MOH) should be assumed in patients who suffer from frequent or daily headaches, although (or precisely because) they regularly take medicines for headaches.

I tried ibuprofen tablets with lysine for the first time on the advice of a friend. The onset of action for headaches is really much quicker and more pleasant. However, you have to get used to the larger tablets. Still 5 stars because the price/performance is just right. The same combinations of active ingredients are often sold for four times the price.
