How does the ingredient of the medicine work?

The active ingredient damages the outer shell, the so -called cell membrane of mushrooms. This case thus loses part of its functions, for example, it becomes more impermeable to nutrients - the cell is starving, or cell components emerge and the cell dissolves. Depending on the active ingredient concentration, the mushrooms are inhibited in their growth and multiplication or deployed directly. The active ingredient is also effective against certain bacteria.

- Be careful with allergy against mushrooms (e.g. Clotrimazol)!
- Emulgators (e.g. cetyl/stearl alcohol) can cause skin irritation (e.g. contact dermatitis).
- There can be medicinal products with which interactions occur. Therefore, you should generally provide the doctor or pharmacist before treatment with a new medicine. This also applies to medicines that you buy yourself, only apply occasionally or that the application has been available for some time.

Field of use

• Clotrimazole is an active ingredient from the group of broad-spectrum antimycotics (means of treating fungal infections).
• The medicine is used in the skin infections of the skin by dermatophytes, yeasts (e.g. Candida species), mold and others, such as Malassezia Furndur and infections by CORYNEBacterium meticulously. These can express themselves as mycoses of the feet, mycoses of the skin and skin folds, pityriasis versicolor, erythrasma, superficial candidoses.

dosage

• Always apply the medicine exactly according to the instruction. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure.

  • The cream is applied and rubbed over to the diseased areas 2 to 3 times a day.
  • A small amount of cream (approx. 1/2 cm of strand length) for an approximately handmade -sized surface is usually sufficient.

 

• Duration of the application
  • The regular and sufficiently long use of the cream is important for the success of the treatment.
  • The duration of treatment is different; Among other things, it depends on the extent and localization of the disease. In order to achieve a complete healing, treatment with the cream should not be canceled after the acute inflammatory symptoms or subjective symptoms have been subsided, but continued up to a treatment period of at least 4 weeks.
  • Pityriasis Versicolor generally heals in 1 - 3 weeks and erythrasma in 2 - 4 weeks. In the case of athlete's foot, in order to prevent relapses - and despite rapid subjective improvement, approximately 2 weeks should be treated beyond the disappearance of all disease signs. After each washing, the feet should be dried thoroughly (toe intermediate rooms).
  • Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the drug is too strong or too weak.

 

• If you have forgotten the application
  • After a forgotten application, treatment is continued with the set or specified quantity specified in the dosage instructions.

 

• If you cancel the application
  • Keep the treatment in the usual way. Try to consistently hold out the treatment, since the success of the treatment is endangered.
